Cost of an OFMSW AD Plant?
Published on by Christian Aragon, PhD student at University of Leeds in Market Info
Hi,
I know the cost of an AD (anaerobic digestion) plant varies depending on the conditions and feedstock. However I would like to know an estimation of the cost to set and operate an AD plant for the organic fraction of Municipal solid waste (OFMSW).
The capacity of the plant is for treat 50,000 tons of OFMSW per year, producing energy.
I would appreciate your help if you have any tool or information about this.
Cheers,

Is this for a university project? Have you tried asking the nearest local operator? I'm not aware of any of these costs having been published, but it should be greater than standard AD - there is more pre-processing of the MSW needed, and the OF may be less nutritionally balanced, requiring greater monitoring and dosing of corrective nutrients.
