About

The journey of doctoral studies began from Saha institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata. Since 1999 I am associated to Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI-CSIR), Bhavnagar, Gujarat. My research orientation is mainly based on water purification and Membranes. I have the credit of 92 publications that includes research papers, articles, patents, book chapters.  I am the supervisor of M. Tech, Ph. D students. I was the editor of one book published by Wiley. I have already stepped in popular science book (Bengali) authorship. I amassociated to several recognised scientific societies in the country.   I have taken initiative in ¢societal mission¢ activities in terms of installation of  ¢Dearsenification plants¢ in the arsenic affected areas of 24 Parganas (North) W. Bengal. I was the co-ordinator of supplying water through the institute’s Reverse Osmosis mobile van (CSMCRI) in the Aila (cyclonic storm, 2009) affected area (Sunderban) in W. Bengal.
