MARAFIQ Jubail Ind City WWTP, KSA

WABAG has successfully completed the 120 MLD Wastewater Treatment Plant for Jubail Industrial City. The plant was developed to provide environmentally-friendly sanitation to around 700,000 inhabitants and for the sustainable reuse of treated water for irrigation and to protect the Sabkha wetlands. The three-stage WWTP includes biological treatment, wastewater filtration and final disinfection to ensure that the wastewater meets the high standards set by the Royal Commission of Jubail. The WWTP was executed on turnkey basis and commissioning was successfully finalized in March 2023.
